A Slower Pace in Lovely Wiltshire

Hi, everyone! We finally arrived in Wiltshire yesterday, about one and a half hour's drive south-west of London. We travelled via Windsor Castle - beautiful, but "too many paintings" according to one, unnamed member of our family. This was after a hectic day in London on Tuesday, when we visited the wondrous St Paul's Cathedral, the reconstructed Shakespearean Globe Theatre, the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace and Churchill's War Rooms.
Today, we visited Bath - one of Mum's favourite places in the world. We toured the ancient Roman Baths, peered into Sally Lunn's Tea Rooms and Bath Abbey and took a horse and carriage ride through Bath's elegant Georgian streets. Fabulous!
Driving home through the narrow English country lanes was no mean feat. Mum would live here in a heartbeat!
Weather has been surprisingly mild, with no need for coats - yet.
Sean has invested some of his hard-earned savings into his own camera, and has now been nicknamed, "The Robinson Paparazzi". He takes some truly great shots!
Thinking of you all. Please do post a comment sometime- would looove to hear from you!

  2. Definitely some great photos in that lot! I like the look of Bath!! Hopefully you get to slow down and catch your breath a little - you have had a huge start to the trip!! Everybody in the office is reading the Blog - it is just a little tricky to post a comment I think! John Richo came into the office the other day to ask how to post so hopefully he might get it sorted out soon!! Looking forward to seeing some more of Sean's photos!!
